Packers and Lions, Badgers are full of Cotton and Detroit Pistons

Marquette, MI – The Green Bay Packers defeated the Detroit Lions over the weekend 31-24. The Packers were led by quarterback Aaron Rodgers threw for 300 yards and 4 touchdowns to lead the Packers in the victory. The Packers will now head into the playoffs taking on the New York Giants on Sunday. The Lions lose their third straight game but still make the playoffs with the Washington loss to New York. The Lions will head to Seattle to take on the Seahawks Saturday at 8:15 pm.

The Wisconsin Badgers defeated the Western Michigan Broncos in the Cotton Bowl on Monday 24-16. Badgers Troy Fumagalli had a big game for the Badgers as he caught 6 of 7 passes including a touchdown to lead the way for Wisconsin. The Broncos were undefeated all year at 13-0 and the couldn’t hold on to stay alive as they only had 280 yards total which was 217 below the teams average. The Wisconsin Badgers end their season at 11-3 with a trophy to add to the case.

The Detroit Pistons take on the Indiana Pacers tonight at the Palace of Auburn Hills at 7:30 pm. The Pistons, who had lost seven of their last eight games, will try to build off of a 107-98 victory over the Miami Heat. The Pacers ended a four game slide beating Orlando on Sunday, Indiana beat Detroit in the last battle between the two 105-90.
