Marquette Mutineers Travel To L’Anse, Negaunee’s Andrew Brunette And Michigan

Marquette, MI – 12/8/17 – The Marquette Mutineers are traveling to L’anse tonight for a match-up with the Calumet Wolverines. The Wolverines are currently in second place in the Great Lakes Hockey League with a total of four points behind the league leading Mutineers with 9 points and a 4-0-1 record. The Mutineers have been led all season by captain Joey Enright and forward Dallas McLaughlin who has a total of 15 points on the season. The game tonight will take black at Meadowbrook Ice Arena. The Mutineers return to the Lakeview Arena next week when they face the Wolverines again.
Negaunee High School Athletic Director Andrew Brunette stopped by to talk about Negaunee winter sports and All-State Academic Honors that the boys and girls cross country received. The Negaunee boys had the highest grade point average among all division one schools in the Upper Peninsula with a team grade point average of 4.0. The girls team wasn’t far behind with a grade point average of 3.997. Congratulations to Negaunee and all of the academic honors it’s accomplished.
The Michigan Wolverines look to get back on the winning track after blowing a 20 point lead to Ohio State for their second Big Ten loss of the year. Saturday night the Wolverines will welcome in the UCLA Bruins who are coming off a win over Detroit Mercy in a game where freshman Jaylen Hands dropped a career high 23 points. Game-time is set for 8 pm on CBS.
