Marquette, MI – 12/4/17 – The Marquette Mutineers had a great weekend as they moved to 4-0-1 on the season with two victories. On Friday night the Mutineers welcomed in the Eagle River Falcons, the Mutineers led after one period 3-2 but as they went into the 2nd the Mutineers put their foot on the gas scoring five unanswered goals to cruise to a 13-6 victory. On Saturday the Mosinee Papermakers came to town and left upset as they went into the third period with a 4-2 lead and lost 6-5 in the final two minutes. The Mutineers now look to next week as they take to the road to take on the Calumet Wolverines.

The Detroit Lions fell to the Baltimore Ravens 44-20 on Sunday afternoon in Baltimore. Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco threw for 269 yards and two touchdowns. Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford threw 24 of 29 passes for 292 yards in the loss, he also went out in the 4th quarter with an injury to his throwing hand. The Lions fall to 6-6 on the season and will head to Tampa Bay to take on the Buccaneers.

The Green Bay Packers came out with a huge 26-20 victory on Sunday at Lambeau Field. Packers running back Aaron Jones touched the ball one time for 20 yards for a touchdown to win the game for Green Bay. Green Bay’s kicker Mason Crosby tied the game with a field goal with 2:01 remaining in the 4th quarter. The star of the game was Packers running back Jamaal Williams who ran for 113 yards on 21 carries. The Packers are 6-6 and back in the Wild Card hunt and visit the Cleveland Browns next Sunday.
