Lions Win Again, Packers on a Roll and Detroit Sports
- Updated: December 12, 2016
Marquette, MI – The Detroit Lions keep winning, let me say that again, The Lions keep winning! The Detroit Lions were at home on Sunday afternoon taking on the Chicago Bears in an NFC North battle. The Lions were led by Matthew Stafford who threw for 223 on 21 of 35 passes to a 20-17 victory. The game for both teams was rough due to poor defensive, offensive play and penalties. The Lions now move to next Sunday where they will visit the New York Giants at 1 pm.
The Green Bay Packers made a huge statement at home on Sunday evening against the Seattle Seahawks. Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers finished with 246 yards passing and three touchdowns in the contest. The Packers are now two games back in the NFC North and play division opponents the last three weeks of the season. There games in the division begin on Sunday when they travel to Chicago to take on the Bears.
The Detroit Red Wings and Detroit Pistons both played over the weekend and neither team produced a win. The Pistons lost to the Philadelphia 76ers 97-79 Sunday night. The Pistons will play the Dallas Mavericks on Wednesday. The Red Wings lost to the Philadelphia Flyers in overtime and will host the Arizona Coyotes on Tuesday night.
