Luke Ghiardi, Alex Tiseo and Ryan Ranguette

Marquette, MI – 8/1/17 – Micheal Fulmer took the mound last night for the Tigers and it did not end well as the Tigers fell to the New York Yankees 7-3. Yankees star rookie Aaron Judge went deep with his 34th home run of the year making way for Aroldis Chapman to come in the ninth to record his 13th save in 16  opportunities. Fulmer lost his third straight game going six-plus innings giving up seven runs, six of which were earned and seven hits. The Tigers will play their second game of a three game series tonight when Anibal Sanchez takes the mound against CC Sabathia.

Marquette Senior High School Athletic Director Alex Tiseo stopped in this morning to talk about the upcoming school year and updates on the construction going on at MSHS. The High School All-Star Basketball game will also be held at Marquette next year for the 2017-2018 season, it will be the second year in a row Marquette has held the event.

Steve Bartman is a life long Chicago Cubs fan and back in 2003 he attempted to catch a foul ball in the NLCS. The cubs were just moments away from heading to the World Series when he reached over the railing on a foul ball and pulled it in. That play was doomed as the Bartman game and the scapegoat of the Cubs failure to make the World Series. Cubs owners put the past to rest yesterday, giving Bartman the 2016 World Series Ring to help mend the relationship with Bartman and relieve his troubles.
