Detroit Tigers Opening Day

Marquette, MI – The Detroit Tigers had a rough outing yesterday for the last game of a two game series with the Chicago White Sox. Tigers pitcher Matt Boyd struggled to keep the White Sox off the base paths as the Sox went on to win the game 11-2. The Tigers were the first on the board in the second inning off of outfielder Tyler Collins home run. Anibal Sanchez came in for the Tigers after Boyd and gave up five more runs. The Tigers drop to 1-1 on the season.
Opening Day is a national holiday when they baseball season kicks off. The beer is flowing, peanuts roasting and hot dogs cooking. Today the Detroit Tigers will being their opening day festivities with former catcher Ivan “Pudge” Rodriguez throwing out the first pitch. The Tigers will take on the undefeated Boston Red Sox beginning at 1:10 pm. The Tigers will send rookie of the year winner, Michael Fulmer to the hill to take on the Red Sox Steven Wright.
