Detroit Tigers Lose, Negaunee, Sands Speedway and NHL Hockey

Marquette, MI – The Detroit Tigers fell to the Tampa Bay Rays on Tuesday night 5-1. The Tigers sent Michael Fulmer to the bump, he allowed three runs, six hits in six innings. Tigers Miguel Cabrera homered in the first inning on his birthday, he turned 34. The Tigers will continue the series today at 7:10 pm when they send Jordan Zimmermann to the hill to face Chris Archer.
The Negaunee Athletic Director Andrew Brunette stopped in this morning to talk about Negaunee Softball and Baseball as well as track. He mentioned at this time of the year its very hard to plan events due to the weather. Brunette, also talked NBA playoff basketball with Ryan and John.
Stan Witler from Sands Motor Speedway stopped in to talk about the up coming events at the track. This year they will hold 9 races, weather permitting. He also talked about his life and past in the racing world.
Doug Garrow Marquette Senior High School Hockey Head Coach stopped in this morning to chime in on the Northern Michigan Hockey hiring of Grant Potulny. Garrow, also talked about the NHL playoffs and what teams he would like to see move on to the next round.
