Marquette, MI – 10/6/17 – The MLB postseason has been nothing but fireworks the past couple of days. Yesterday the Houston Astros opened up their postseason run taking on the Boston Red Sox. The Astros put former Detroit Tigers ace Justin Verlander on the bump and he went six strong innings to lead the Astros to a 8-2 victory. Astros second baseman Jose Altuve had the game of his life hitting three home runs a feat thats only been accomplished 10 times in the MLB. The ALDS series continues today in Houston.
Michigan Man Ray joined us this morning to talk about the Michigan Wolverines and Michigan State game this Saturday at Michigan Stadium. The Wolverines come into the game at 4-0 on the season and with a national ranking on #7. The Spartans come in at 3-1 on the year and looking to avenge last season loss at home to the Wolverines. Michigan Man Ray covered both sides of the ball and what to look for in Ann Arbor Saturday night.
The Detroit Red Wings opening regular season game at Little Caesars Arena was last night and they came out victorious with a win over the Minnesota Wild 4-2. Red Wings got goals from Anthony Mantha and Dylan Larkin early and goalie Jimmy Howard collected 37 saves in the victory.
