Mike Morgan For Marquette Volleyball, ALCS Goes Bananas And NLCS Begins

Marquette, MI – 10/4/17 – Marquette Senior High School Head Volleyball Coach Mike Morgan stopped by to talk about the Redettes season thus far into the 2017-2018 school year. The Redettes are led by six senior this year starting with the setter and captain Chloe Hale, Lauren Wilkinson, Ellie Hicks, Peyton Sides, Olivia Arntsen and Faith Turausky. The volleyball program led by coach Morgan has been thriving for a while now in the Great Northern Conference. The Redettes regular season will end on October 24th and Districts will begin on October 31st.
The MLB Postseason started off with a bang last night as six runs combined by both teams were scored in the first inning. The New York Yankees welcomed in the Minnesota Twins for a one-game elimination for the AL Wild Card. The Twins second baseman Brian Dozier led off the game with a home run followed by a two run homer from Eddie Rosario later in the inning to make it 3-0 Minnesota. The bottom half of the inning the Yankees roared back with a three run bomb from shortstop Didi Gregorius to tie the ball game. Yankees outfielder Brett Gardner added a home run to take the lead later in the game followed by rookie sensation Aaron Judge with a two run shot to seal the victory for the Yankees. The Yanks will now move onto the ALDS for a five game series with the Cleveland Indians.
The Arizona Diamondbacks and Colorado Rockies will kick-off the NLCS Wild Card one game elimination tonight when Dback Zack Grienke takes the mound against John Gray. The winner of the game will go up against the Los Angeles Dodgers, a team that held the best record in baseball.
