
Marquette, MI – 10/24/17 – Marquette Senior High School Athletic Director Alex Tiseo stopped by this morning to talk about the football season and the tailgate this past Friday at Marquette. Tiseo went over the volleyball team as well as cross country. Winter sports are right around the corner, we got a preview for upcoming events.
The World Series begins tonight when the Houston Astros travel to Los Angeles to take on the Dodgers. Both teams won more than 100 games in the regular season, also winning their division. The weather will not be a factor in the series as Los Angeles will peak around 100 degrees at game time and Houston plays indoors. The pitching match-up tonight will be Dodgers Clayton Kershaw going up against Houstons Dallas Keuchel.
The Detroit Pistons fell to the Philadephia 76ers last night with rookie Ben Simmons collecting his first triple-double with 21 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists. 76ers center Joel Embiid also dropped 30 on the Pistons struggling defense. Leading Detroit was big man Andre Drummond who had 14 points and 14 rebounds. The Pistons host the Minnesota Timberwolves on Wednesday.
