Alex Tiseo, Astros Fall In New York And Red Wings

Marquette, MI – 10/17/17 – Marquette Senior High School Athletic Director Alex Tiseo stopped by to bring us up to date on events happening this week at Marquette Senior High School. The Marquette Redmen defeated the Negaunee Miners last Friday making this upcoming Friday a huge football game with their playoff hopes on the line. This Friday is also the 2017 MSHS Tailgate with free food and fun events for the community, it all begins at 5:30 pm at the practice field next to William R. Hart Stadium. Join Luke, Ryan and Pete Kolbus on Friday at 5:30 for all of the Tailgate festivities and interviews with coaches from Marquette.
The Houston Astros fell last night to the New York Yankees 8-1 in game 3 of the ALCS. The series is now 2-1 in favor of the Astros with game four today in New York. The Astros will send Lance McCullers Jr. to the mound to face Sonny Gray a pitcher who was picked up by the Yankees at the Trade Deadline. New York has yet to lose at home this postseason with a record of 4-0. Game time will begin at 4:08 pm.
The Detroit Red Wings came away with their first loss at Little Caesars Arena last night losing to the Tampa Bay Lightning 3-2. After being down 2-0 in the first period, Detroit got goals from Justin Abdelkader and Mike Green to tie the game but star forward Nikita Kucherov added the winning goal in the third period and Tampa Bay came away with a win. The Red Wings will be back in action tomorrow as they face the Toronto Maple Leafs.
