Marquette, MI – June 24th, 2026 – One final time, some of the Upper Peninsula’s top high school basketball players will have the opportunity to team up and take the court together.
Tonight, for the second consecutive year, Bay College will host the U.P. All-Star Basketball Games, featuring many of the region’s top graduating seniors in both the girls and boys contests. All proceeds from the event will benefit the U.P. Sports Hall of Fame.
The evening will begin with a series of skills competitions, including three-point shooting, free throw, and dunk contests. The girls will take center stage first, with competitions beginning at 5:00 p.m. before the North and South All-Star Game tips off at 5:30 p.m.
The North Girls roster features Emily DelFavero and Carine Cole of Wakefield-Marenisco, Jenessa Eagle and Brittanie Piotrowski of Ishpeming, Emery Chynoweth of Hancock, Cleo Millkey of Lake Linden-Hubbell, Jaelyn Novascone of Ironwood, and Emma Besonen and Irelynd McGeshick of Ewen-Trout Creek. The North squad will be led by coaches Ryan Reichel, Jackie Besonen, and Brad Besonen
They will face a South Girls squad consisting of Addy Blowers and Lily Johnson of Gladstone, Lauren Adams of Norway, Gianna Coduti and Lexi Marineau of Menominee, Lexi Curran of Marquette, Elsie Williams of Forest Park, Lakelyn Bunker of Mackinac Island, and Clare O’Donnell of Negaunee. The south squad will be coached by Mike O’Donnell.
Following the girls game, the boys will take the court for their own set of skills competitions beginning at 7:00 p.m., with the North and South All-Star Game scheduled to tip off at 7:30 p.m.
The North Boys team is made up of Caleb Kentala and Liam Tourtillott of Dollar Bay, Caden Balzarini and Ethan Marta of Westwood, Kegan Martin of Newberry, Easton Guenette and Tristan Slater of Negaunee, Jack Nelson of Ontonagon, Nick Miskovich of Ironwood, and Daniel Connor of Baraga. The North squad will be coached by Jessie Kentala.
The South Boys roster features Owen Olkkonen of Kingsford, Brayden Derouin of Bark River-Harris, Jaxon Clark of Rudyard, Gunner Bennin and Mac Collins of Pickford, Nolan Connaughton of Munising, Tanner Theuerkauf of Menominee, Drew Moser of Cedarville, Ty King of North Dickinson, and Evan Arnold of St. Ignace. The South team will be led by head coach Sam Larson.
The event serves as a celebration of the Upper Peninsula’s graduating basketball talent, giving longtime teammates and rivals alike one final chance to share the court while showcasing the skills that helped define their high school careers.
