Marquette, MI – April 15th, 2026 – This week, we were joined by Big Local Sports Show executive producer Traci Leonard, the founder of the Marquette Bombers youth travel baseball program and director of baseball for Marquette Little League.
During our conversation, we learned how she got involved in these roles and what motivated her to give back to the game. She shared insight into the experiences young athletes gain, from practices to tournaments, and how those opportunities help them grow and develop. We also discussed what the offseason looks like in the U.P., including how players stay sharp and continue training through the winter months.
In the second half of the show, we got to know Traci on a more personal level. She talked about what it was like growing up outside of the Upper Peninsula, the sports she follows, and what ultimately led her to make the move north.
