Saturday, June 27th, 2015, Marquette Township, MI – The Applebee’s parking lot in the Marquette Township was packed with classic cars, trucks, and people who chouldn’t wait to see all the action on a beautiful and warm June day. The 4th annual Marquette Township Classic Car Show and Cruise couldn’t have for better weather, and hundreds of people showed-up to take advantage of the amazing day! There were Model A’s, GTOs, Firebirds, Mustangs, and so many more distinctive and classic cars on display for everyone to see! There was even an old fire engine to help put out the heat!
Major Discount was at the show with Great Lakes Radio employees Nancy and Jim to cover all the action and even help out with registration for the event! The Major got to speak with Randy Girard, Marquette Township Manager, about all the amazing sights and rides that were on display. Registration opened at 10am, and the Applebee’s parking lot started to fill up immediately. Everyone was there to check out the sweet classic cars and trucks, but there were also many prizes for everyone! There was even a canned goods collection to help refill the local pantry, and tons of people stopped by to check-out the car show and donate!
The day finished with a picturesque cruise around Marquette and Marquette Township, showcasing some of the area’s most beautiful sights. We hope you enjoyed the fourth annual Marquette Township Classic Car Show and Cruise, and we hope to see you again next year!
