Marquette, MI – The wind seems to change at the right time for the Detroit Tigers when August and September rolls around. The Tigers ended up with an 8-3 victory last night over the Minnesota Twins. Cameron Maybin’s thumb has been in bad shape but right now he is a key component to the Tigers playoff push. Maybin reached base three times and scored three times to help Anibal Snachez pick up his 7th win of the year. The Tigers continue their series with the Twins tonight starting at 8:10 pm with Matt Boyd taking the mound.
Negaunee Athletic Director Andrew Brunette was in the building with us today talking Negaunee High School Athletics. The main question everyone has been wondering about is the new press box at the football stadium. The new press box will be ready for the up coming season and will be a state of the art facility. Andrew Brunette and the Negaunee High School Miners have high hopes going into this years football season with Head Coach Paul Jacobson at the helm. They kickoff their season on Friday when they travel to Manistique to take on the Emeralds.
Redmen Round-up will be on every Wednesday from 6pm to 7pm. The show will have special guests every week and will bring you up to date on Marquette Redmen Athletics and news. The show will be hosted by Ryan Ranguette and John Thomsen.
