Marquette, MI – High School football is kicking off its opening week with pretty big games. Head Coach Dave L’Huillier and he Marquette Redmen will be taking on the Gladiators of Traverse City St. Francis in the Superior Dome at 7pm. Marquette is the Big Game of the Week and can be herd on 103FXD.
Like every year the Ishpeming Hemitites are looking to build off of the past season. The Hemitites went 13-0 with a State Championship added to their collection. They open there season in Iron Mountain at 6pm
The Negaunee High School Miners are set to make another run at the playoffs kicking their season off at 7pm against the Manistique Emeralds. Their game can be herd on Sunny FM with Mark Evans kicking off a pregame at 6:30.
The Detroit Tigers split a four game series against the Boston Red Sox. Justin Upton had a big game on Sunday recording a pair of 2 three run homers and lift the Tigers to a 10-5 victory at Comerica Park. The Tigers currently stand 7 games behind the Cleveland Indians and 2.5 games back in the Wild Card.
Tuesday we will have Marquette Athletic Director Blaise Zimmer in the studio talking about “Meet the Redmen and Redettes Night” as well as football Friday. Andrew Brunette Negaunee Athletic Director will be in on Wednesday keeping us up to date on Negaunee Athletics.
