Marquette, MI – October 3rd, 2025 – The mediaBrew teams are gearing up for another week of football action, but this week will only feature two of the three teams due to one game being canceled. The remaining two games will showcase two significant conference matchups.
First, the Negaunee Miners were scheduled to host their homecoming football game against Westwood. Unfortunately, Westwood does not have enough healthy players to field a team this week, leading to the cancellation of the game. The Miners plan to reschedule their homecoming for two weeks from now, during the week of October 20th, when they will host Iron Mountain. Norway is set to host the Ishpeming Hematites tonight. Ishpeming has won its last two games against Munising and Rudyard, boosting their confidence. However, this week presents a significant challenge as they face one of the top eight-player teams in the Upper Peninsula. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 pm. If you can’t attend, you can listen to Tyler Young and Bob Nadeau broadcast the game on 98.3 WRUP.
Finally, we move to Escanaba, where we will find Marquette. The Sentinels have won two consecutive games, and are beginning to find their rhythm, however, they will face an undefeated Eskomos team. This matchup is one you won’t want to miss. Kickoff is set for 7:00 pm in Escanaba, and Michael Williams will provide the broadcast on Fox Sports Marquette 105.1 and 99.9.
