1st Half:

Gwinn had the upper hand early with scoring from Reid Hill and Tristan Jancsi, and jumped out to a 10-4 lead. Gladstone responded with nine straight points from Cam Ballard to cut the Modeltowners’ lead to 10-9. Gwinn’s offense flurries didn’t stop there, as it’s two-man game of Hill and Jancsi continued to show dominance inside. In the final seconds of the first, Jancsi made a fadeaway jumper at the buzzer to give the Modeltowners a 16-11 lead.
End of 1st: Gwinn Modeltowners 16, Gladstone Braves 11
The second quarter turned the whole game around in favor of Gladstone. Ballard was on fire from 3-point range, and Hunter Potier was crashing the glass for putbacks. With those two leading the way, the Braves outscored Gwinn 16-4 in the second. At halftime, Gwinn trailed 32-20, and had only three scorers in the first half.

2nd Half:
The Modeltowners had time to make a comeback, but there were too many turnovers to stay in it on the offensive side. Gladstone capitalized on the fast break, and began to pick apart Gwinn’s zone defense. The third quarter provided an even more convincing performance from Gladstone, and they led 50-27 after three.

End of 3rd: Gladstone Braves 50, Gwinn Modeltowners 27
It was even in the fourth quarter, but unfortunately Gwinn trailed by too much. Gladstone extended its lead to nearly 30, and that would be it. The Modeltowners had a tough outing offensively in the final three quarters, and Gladstone walked away with a 61-32 victory. The loss brings Gwinn to 6-4 on the season.
