Marquette, MI – June 19, 2018 – It’s Tuesday which means Marquette Senior High School Athletic Director Alex Tiseo was in studio to give all the updates from MSHS. MSHS hosted the UP Basketball All-Star games this past weekend. But with all the renovations being done to MSHS’s gym, the games were held at Bothwell Middle School. Alex tells the Sports Drive it was a huge success with the South team winning both the boys and girls games.
The Island Resort Championship at Sweetgrass is returning this weekend to the Upper Peninsula. Beginning on Friday some of the best women golfers in the world will emerge at Sweetgrass Golf Club trying to take home the Island Resort Championship. The winner of the tournament wins $22,500, which would go a long way in trying to secure a 2019 LPGA Tour card. The Top 10 money winners on the Symetra Tour earn their LPGA Tour Card’s for the 2019 season.
