Marquette, MI – March 22, 2019 – The St. Ignace girls basketball team got a 48-44 victory over Kingston in Thursday’s Division 4 semifinal game in the MHSAA girls basketball tournament. The Saints are one game away from bringing hardware home to the U.P. St Ignace plays Adrian Lenawee Christian at 10 a.m. Saturday morning in the championship game.
The NCAA tournament saw some great action on the first day, and the early parts of Day 2. Iowa got a coime from behind victory over Cincinnati to give the Big ten a 6-0 tournament record up to that point. The tournament also saw UC Irvine upset Kansas State.
