Marquette, MI – March 16, 2022 – The Menominee Maroons boys basketball team has been the number one ranked boys basketball team in the U.P. since the very first UPSSA poll in January, They went undefeated in GNC play en route to a conference championship, and have won their first three MHSAA tournament games by a combined 99 points (33 ppg). Tonight they play for a regional championship against Benzie Central. Maroon’s head coach Sam Larson joined The Sports Drive today to talk his team’s season, and what to expect in tonight’s game.
