Marquette, MI – November 7, 2019 – The NMU Men’s Basketball team was picked dead last in the GLIAC preseason poll, and that’s exactly the position first year head coach Matt Majkrzak wants to be in. Coach Majkrzak joined the Sports Drive today to talk about his team and how he thinks his team is going to surprise a lot of people in the GLIAC this season.
The Ishpeming Hematites had no problem in their playoff opener against Bark River-Harris, but Hematites head coach George Niemi knows the road gets a lot tougher in round 2. The Hematites host Lake Linden on Saturday in a rematch from week 2, where the Hematites squeaked out at 36-34 victory. Coach Niemi joined the Sports Drive to look ahead to saturday’s game.
