Marquette, MI – August 23, 2019 – The Sports Drive was back on Friday with Luke Ghiardi and Tyler Young, and both guys were ready to talk some football. Both Luke and Tyler were at the Ishpeming, Gwinn, and Houghton tri-scrimmage at the playgrounds in Ishpeming yesterday, and both had some thoughts and takeaways.
The NFL tried to play a preseason game last night in Canada between the Green Bay Packers and the Oakland Raiders. It did not go well. The game was not able to utilize a full 100-ayard field due to holes from where goalposts are usually inserted for the CFL at the goalline. The game was forced to use a shortened, 80-yard field, and ultimately causing a farce. Luke and Tyler agree, this should never happen in the NFL.
