Marquette, MI – December 20, 2018 – The Gwinn Modeltowner’s girls basketball team got a big win at home Wednesday night over the visiting Escanaba Eskymos 60-53. The Modeltowners outscored Escanaba 17-9 in the final 8 minutes to improve to 4-1 on the season.
The Northern Michigan men’s basketball team took the #1 team in Division 2 to the brink but ultimately fell short to Bellarmine 84-75. The Cats, who trailed by 1 at halftime, were led by Isiah Johnson with 25 points, 4 rebounds, and 4 assists.
