Marquette, MI – November 27, 2019 – The Girls Basketball preview week continued Wednesday on the Sports Drive. Two coaches with very high expectations joined Luke today – Kurt Corcoran of the Westwood Patriots and Mike O’Donnell of the Negaunee Miners.
The Westwood Patriots finished with an overall record of 24-2 a year ago and an appearance in the Division 3 state quarterfinals. That is where there season came to an end, but this Patriots team returns every player from a year ago. Patriots head coach Kurt Corcoran joined the Sports Drive today to talk about the expectations for his team and what he expects from the 2019-2020 campaign.
Mike O’Donnell experienced a vast amount of success as the the boys basketball coach for the Negaunee Miners during his tenure. After a brief stint at Finlandia University, O’Donnell is back in Negaunee – this time on the girls’ sidelines. Coach O’Donnell joined the Sports Drive Wednesday to discuss how it all came about and how he plans to run the girls program.
