Marquette, MI – October 10, 2018 – Dion Brown’s Gwinn Modeltowners are one win away from the program’s 2nd playoff appearance in 18 years. The Modeltowners got a come-from-behind victory over Norway on Friday night 26-21. Gwinn now welcomes in a fellow 5-2 team to Gwinn in West Iron County Friday night. Coach Brown joined Luke and Mark on the Sports Drive to talk about the big upcoming matchup.
The Marquette Redmen suffered a heart breaking loss on Friday night in Minoqua to Lakeland Union. The Redmen fell to 3-4 on the year, and are a long shot to make the playoffs, but are looking for their first outright GNC title since 1976. Marquette must win their last two games, beginning with Gladstone in the Marquette home-finale on Friday night. Luke caught up with Redmen head coach Dave L’Huillier to talk about the heart-breaker last Friday and looking ahead to this Friday.
