Marquette, MI – 8/7/17 – Over the weekend the Sunny Sluggers came out victorious on Saturday in walk off fashion with a 7-6 victory over the township. Ryan and Luke led the team to a shocking victory. The winning hit came from Major Discount himself Todd Noordyk while the winning pitcher was the Sales Manager Bill Tibor. The Sunny Sluggers are currently 1-0 on the season and their next game will be held next year against the same team.
Anibal Sanchez had a rough outing on Sunday afternoon as he was tagged for five homers off of the Baltimore Orioles bats in a 12-3 loss. Sanchez went three innings giving up eight runs on ten hits and striking out only two. The only bright spot for the Tigers on Sunday was third baseman Nicholas Castellanos who added a home run. The Tigers now pack their bags and head to Pittsburgh to take on the Pirates in a three game series.
The Miami Dolphins lost quarterback Ryan Tannehill last week due to a knee injury. Sunday afternoon it was announced that they have signed former Chicago Bear and current free agent Jay Cutler to a one year 10 million dollar deal with 3 million guaranteed. Cutler started five games last year but was out the rest of the season after a suffering a torn labrum and underwent surgery.
