Lions Lose Roar, Pistons Soar and Red Wings

Marquette, MI – The Detroit Lions now have their backs up against the wall after the Dallas Cowboys won Monday Nights contest in Dallas 42-21. Cowboys rookie quarterback Dak Prescott was 15-20 for 212 yards and three touchdowns while running back Ezekiel Elliot added a 55 yard touchdown run in the first quarter. The Lions struggled in the second half, quarterback Matthew Stafford was 26-46 for 260 yards including a fumble and interception. The Lions move to 9-6 on the season and in a tie for first place in the NFC North. The race for the division championship will come down to the last game next Sunday at 8:30 pm as the Lions will take on the Packers.

The Detroit Pistons got a big win last night against the Cleveland Cavilers. Pistons Tobias Harris dropped 21 points to help the Pistons snap a five game losing streak in the 106-90 victory. The Cavilers Lebron James did not play in the game as he took the night off. The Cavs are now 0-3 when Lebron doesn’t play. The Pistons face another division opponent on Wednesday as they take on the Milwaukee Bucks at 7:30 pm.

The Detroit Red Wings are coming off of a 4-3 victory last Friday night against the Florida Panthers. The Wings will be at home tonight taking on the Buffalo Sabres at 7:30 pm. Red Wings goalie Jared Correau will be backing up Petr Mrazek in tonight’s game. The Red Wings are struggling this season as they are 30th in the league on the Power Play and 26th in scoring.
