Marquette, MI – 11/17/17 – High School Football is coming down to the wire as two Upper Peninsula teams prepare for the State Semifinals starting today. The West Iron County Wykons (11-1) are coming off a regional final victory over Frankfort 35-20 to move on to face Saginaw Nouvel (12-0). Kickoff will be at 6 pm in Northern Michigan’s Superior Dome. The Escanaba Eskymos (10-2) defeated Willamston 39-21 in the regional final last week in Escanaba and move on to play 12-0 Grand Rapids Catholic Central. The game will be held in Traverse City at Thirlby Field on Saturday at 1 pm.
Michigan Man Ray joined us this morning to talk Michigan Wolverine football. The Wolverines go into Camp Randall Stadium at noon on Saturday to take on the 10-0 Wisconsin Badgers. The Wolverines are looking to add a victory against a top ranked opponent, a win for Michigan would out them back in contention for competing for a Big Ten Title.
Jeremy Stankewitz joined us this morning is place of Luke Ghiardi. Jeremy is from Walled Lake in downstate Michigan and is a life long Detroit sports fan. Stankewitz went over the Red Wings, Lions and Packers today giving his thoughts on the remainder if there seasons and what to look for.
