Marquette, MI – 11/27/17 – The Detroit Lions came into the Thanksgiving Day football game 4-1 in their past 5 season, but they came out 4-2 in their past 6 after a 30-23 Minnesota Vikings victory. The Vikings have now won seven straight games and own a three game lead over the Lions in the NFC North. The Vikings were led by quarterback Case Keenum who threw for 282 yards and two touchdowns. The Lions now fall to 6-5 and look to get back in the hunt this Sunday when they take on the Baltimore Ravens in Baltimore.
The Green Bay Packers lost a close game last night 31-28 in the closing seconds of the game on a 53-yard field goal from Chris Boswell. Pittsburgh has now won six straight games thanks to great offense and defensive play. Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown hauled in two touchdowns on 10 receptions for 169 yards to lead the Steelers. The Packers were led by quarterback Brett Hundley who threw for 245 yards and three touchdowns. The Packers return home to face the Tamapa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday at 1 pm.
The Michigan Wolverines have lost 13 of 14 meetings with the Ohio State Buckeyes as Ohio State came out with a 31-20 victory on Saturday in the Big House. Ohio State’s JT Barrett was injured halfway through the game after leading the Buckeyes with two touchdowns, leading the way for back-up Dwayne Haskins who led the Buckeyes from behind in the second half to win in the biggest deficit a team has ever seen in the long storied rivalry. The Wolverines look to the Holiday Bowl in January 1st. The Buckeyes will play in the Big Ten Title game this upcoming Saturday against undefeated Wisconsin.
