Marquette, MI – Kole Calhoun homered for the fourth time in seven games on Tuesday night as he led the Los Angeles Angels to a 5-3 victory over the Detroit Tigers. Calhoun is now hitting .478 with four homers in the past week. Angles starting pitcher Jesse Chavez picked up the win, allowing two runs and gave up seven hits in the victory. Tigers starter Daniel Norris struggled as he took the loss allowing four runs, three earned, five hits and three walks in six innings. Tigers continue their series with the Angels today when they throw the first pitch at 7:10 pm.
The Milwaukee Brewers picked up a nice victory on Tuesday with a great performance by Chase Anderson who threw seven shutout innings and also drove in a run in the 5-2 victory over the Los Angeles Dodgers. Brewers Hernan Perez also had a solid game adding a home run in the contest. The Brewers continue their series with the Dodgers tonight at 7:05 pm.
ABC10 Sam Ali stopped in this morning to talk sports with us. Ali, is from Dearborn where he decided to attend Wayne State University to major in communications. This morning we learned that Sam Ali is a big Tigers fan and Detroit Fan overall. We enjoyed having Sam Ali on the show! He did a fantastic job.
