Redmen Round-UP with Marquette Tennis and Football
- Updated: September 15, 2016
Marquette, MI – Redmen Round-Up is dedicated to Marquette Senior High School Sports every Wednesday night as Ryan and John Thomsen get the insight on coaches, players and their season.
The night began with the girls varsity tennis team along with head coach Derek Sandstrom. The Redettes are coming off a match between the Escanaba Eskymos in which the Redettes came out on top 5-3. We had a chance to get to know the top players from the tennis team, Ashley Tripp and Hannah Swajanen. Both players have had a tremendous season thus far and look forward to their up coming opponents.
The Marquette Redmen football team stopped by with Assistant Coach Dennis Canoot. The Redmen are coming off a win which propelled their record to 1-2 on the year. Coach went over
the offense and defense and what they’re looking to accomplish with the up coming game against Escanaba. We had the opportunity to talk with linebacker Jared Prevost and defensive lineman Travis Christiansen. Both are expecting a win this Friday and were very happy to end up with a win last week. The Marquette Redmen will face the Escanaba Eskymos in the Superior Dome Friday night at 7pm. You can catch all the action on Fox Sports Marquette 105.1 and 99.9 and for the “Big Game of the Week” on 103FXD as Ryan Ranguette, John Thomsen and Pete Kolbus will bring you all the action.
Tune in next week on Wednesday when the Redmen Round-Up show begins at 6pm. John Thomsen and Ryan Ranguette will bring you up to date on all the games and events for Marquette Senior High School. Every week we will have insight with players and coaches on their season.
