Redmen Basketball and REDspn

Marquette, MI – The Marquette Redmen basketball team’s season came to an end last week as they were defeated by Traverse City Central Trojans 72-60 in the district playoffs. The Redmen end their season with a 20-2 record overall. Coach Brad Nelson has built a solid program for Marquette Senior High School and next year the Redmen look to come back stronger than ever returning most of their players. Jacob O’gea had a chance to stop in and talk Redmen basketball and his out look on the season as well as his broadcasts throughout the 2016-2017 season. We would like to thank Jacob for calling all of Marquette Redmen Basketball games.

Eric Hammerstrom has put quite the program together for broadcasting at Marquette Senior High School. This year Marquette Senior High School brought home two MAB Awards, proving that his class is special. Student A.J. Morgan stopped in to talk about the awards and his experience in Mr.Hammerstrom’s class. REDspn is Marquette’s broadcasting name and many students have attended Marquette games taking video and also recording audio and play by play. Many of these students are looking to pursue a career in broadcasting and Great Lakes Radio would like to congratulate all of these fine students on their MAB award.

Join Luke Ghiardi and John Thomen every Wednesday night for Redmen Round Up on Fox Sports Marquette 105.1 and 99.9 or you can stream from any where in the country at the Fox Sports Marquette website. Each show will also be archived to be listened to at your convenience.
