Marquette, MI – Winter sports have came to an end for Marquette Senior High School. Each team from Marquette had good seasons along with some really cool moments. The Hockey team ended the season with a 17-10-2 record and made it all the way to the regional and lost to Muskegon Mona Shores. The Redmen had two All-State Players, Center Joey Phillips and Goalie Tyler Bergwall. The Redmen are losing four players going in to next year. Congratulations hockey team on a fine season.

The Marquette Redettes basketball team was a force to be reckon with all year ended their season with a 20-4 record. The Redettes were led by their seniors all year and followed soon to be Northern Michigan Wildcat Amber Huebner. The Redettes won their district and lost in the regional against Midland Dow. Head Coach Ben Smith is a great coach and the Redettes fed off of his intensity all year, the Redettes will go into their season next year returning eight players. Congratulations Redettes on a good season.

The Redmen Basketball team had a solid year and with a undersized team, ran the Great Northern Conference ending with a 20-2 record. They were bounced in districts to Traverse City but the program is strong and will be back next year even stronger. Coach Brad Nelson has this team set up to make a run for the next four years.

The Marquette Senior High Ski Team is and has always been a strong team in the state of Michigan. The Ski team once again proved that they were the best and won another State Title.
