Marquette, MI – February 21, 2019 – The Marquette Redettes were at home tonight to battle the Menominee Maroons in varsity girls basketball on GTO 97.5! Live from Marquette Senior High School, Luke Ghiardi brought you all of tonight’s basketball action.
Both teams fought hard and by the end of the first half the Menominee Maroons were ahead, leading 24-21. By the end of the night, the Marquette Redettes had taken the lead and walked off the court with the win, 54-44! Earlier in the season, the Redettes played the Maroons at in Menominee where our girls also picked up a win 52-40, bringing the Redettes vs Maroons season record to 2-0 in favor of the Redettes!
Tonight’s game puts us one step closer toward the end of regular varsity girls basketball. Luke Ghiardi will be back on air Tuesday, February 26th to broadcast the final regular season game for the Marquette Redettes. The girls will host the Escanaba Eskymos for a 7:15pm game on Fox Sports Marquette 105.1 & 99.9! Tune in or stream the game live on foxsportsmarquette.com.
