Marquette, MI – December 20, 2018 – Tonight both the Marquette Redettes Basketball team and the Marquette Redmen Varsity Hockey Team will be taking a trip over to Dickinson County to face the Kingsford Flivvers.
Starting things off with the John Thomsen on-air for a 6:30pm Pre-Game Show, John will talk about last weekend’s successful sweep during the Marquette Showcase. The boys ended the weekend with double wins, 5-2 against West Ottawa and 1-0 against Bay Area Reps. The varsity hockey team will hit the ice at 7:00pm for puck drop. At 7:15 we’ll start with game two of the night, right here on Fox Sports Marquette 105.1 & 99.9. Luke Ghiardi will be live from Kingsford for a 7:15pm Pre-game Show before the 7:45pm tip off. Standing at 4-2 in the season so far, Luke will recap last weekend’s trip to Traverse City where the girls also came away with double wins. Unlike the Redettes, the Redmen Hockey team will play again before the new year. The boys will host another weekend series starting with their first game on Friday, December 28th. The 8:00pm home game will be against Bay City, with a 3:00pm game against Sault Ste. Marie on Saturday. John will return to Fox Sports Marquette 105.1 & 99.9 for the weekend of sports action.
The Redettes return the air waves on Tuesday, January 8th, traveling to Escanaba to face the Eskymos. The girls will play that game at 7:15 pm with a 6:45pm Pre-Game Show on Fox Sports Marquette 105.1 & 99.9.
