Warm-UpsFirst Half: Negaunee kicked things off for the game with Will Luke hitting a 3-pointer giving the Miners the quick lead. Kam Karp would respond immediately for the Redmen with a three of his own to tie things back up.
Marquette would really start to turn things on with Ty Lotterman driving the lane for the bucket plus a foul which he converted. Lotterman would add on another lay-up to bring the score to, 8-5 in favor of the Redmen.
The Redmen would make a lot of big time shots, racking up a lot of points. The teams would finish the first quarter with Marquette leading, 26-12.
The Miners ran into a bit of foul trouble to start the second quarter. Marquette did not take their foot off the pedal when Jordan DeMay putting up a lay up. The play was followed by a steal leading to a Lincoln Sager 3-pointer.

Second Half: Marquette did not let up one bit coming out of the locker room. The Miners could not get anything going offensively while Marquette couldn’t be stopped. The Redmen outscore the Miners in the 3rd quarter 16-8. Lincoln Sager made a buzzer beater to end the quarter with the lead, 60-31.
Lotterman Off The GlassThe fourth and final quarter of play really saw the Redmen pull away. After pulling their starters in the opening minutes, the Marquette bench played extremely well. Owen Beauchamp was able to send home a 3-point shot along with teammates Connor Johnson and Mauricio Cardoso. The Miners were held scoreless until the very last seconds when Saunders scored a 2-point bucket.
