Marquette, Michigan – October 6th, 2023 – This week Marquette Football is playing on their home turf in pink for Breast Cancer Awareness against the Petoskey Northmen! Luke Ghiardi and Riley Debelak on call live on Fox Sports Marquette.
Marquette kicked off the first quarter with a lead of 7-0 over the Northmen of Petoskey, but Petoskey quickly tied up the score 7-7. Petoskey continued to push through in the second half with a 7 point lead, and it was not looking good for Marquette at half time.
Marquette viciously turned the tides by the third quarter, keeping up a good fight. Wyatt Lakenen pulled off two 39yrd completions with Marquette ending the quarter, leading score 21-14. As the clock ticked down it was a nail biting match but Marquette held their ground and ran into night with a miraculous victory 21-20!
