Traverse City – January 14, 2023 – Marquette goes to Traverse City to face Howell live on Foxsports 105.1 -99.9!
1st Period: Marquette would win the draw to start the game. Howell would ice the puck after Marquette had a great shot at the goal. Marquette would score after winning another draw. Howell would come back down a couple minutes later and would score. Marquette would ice right after the draw. Howell after a couple minutes the Highlanders would score again to take a 1 goal lead. The Redmen would score right back to tie the game right back up. The Redmen would come back to full strength with 2 minutes left of the period. Marquette would win another draw. Marquette would skate out the period.

2nd Period: Howell would win the draw to start the period. Marquette would get a steal and would get a good shot off but the goalie would make a great save. Marquette would take a lead after a great shot. The Redmen would take the lead back. Marquette would win the draw after Howell would ice. Marquette would get a great shot but would hit the top post. The Redmen would get another shot off but the goalie would make a great save. Highlanders are able to get it out of their zone. Marquette would score again minutes later, taking a 2 goal game with 5 minutes left of the period. Marquette would push the pace and score again off a rebound. The Redmen would take 3 goal lead with less than a minute in the period. Marquette would skate out the rest of the quarter.

3rd Period: Marquette would win the face off to start the period. Howell would steal the puck but would get called for an off sides. Marquette would get a shot off but would miss wide. Howell would come right back down and would shot but miss the shot. Marquette would push the puck up the ice fast and would score with ease. The Redmen would take a 4 goal lead. Howell would get quick shot off but the goalie would make a great save. Marquette would get a great shot off but would miss wide.The Redmen would use a power play. Marquette could not take advantage of their power play. Marquette would score off a face off and would take 5 goal lead. The Redmen would go into another power play. Marquette could not take advantage of the power play. Marquette would skate out the final period.
