Joe Gaffney Marquette Hockey, Aaron Rodgers Injured And Lions Lose

Marquette, MI – 10/16/17 – Marquette Hockey Radio Analyst Joe Gaffney stopped by to talk about the upcoming Marquette Redmen hockey season as well as the progression of the players this summer and fall on the U18 Midget Double A hockey team. Gaffney has been a hockey coach for over 20 years in the Marquette system. This season he will be with play-by-play announcer John Thomsen as the color-analyst for all of the Marquette Redmen Hockey games.

The Green Bay Packers have been riddled with injuries all year, yesterday it took their superstar quarterback Aaron Rodgers. The Packers fell to the Minnesota Vikings 23-10 in Minnesota, even worse Aaron Rodgers took a hit from Anthony Barr and ended up with a potential season ending collarbone break. Back-up quarterback Brett Hundley took the snaps for the rest of the game and threw three interceptions in the loss. Vikings quarterback Case Keenum was 24 0f 38 for 239 yards. The Packers continue play next week when they welcome in the New Orleans Saints.

The Detroit Lions lost to the New Orleans Saints in a crazy football game 52-38. The Saints had a 45-10 lead but the Lions roared back with four straight touchdowns including a punt return and a pick 6 by A’Shawn Robinson. Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford was 25 of 52 with three touchdowns and three interceptions. The Lions are now 3-3 on the season and have lost 2 of their past 3 games. They will now go into the bye week.
