Traverse City, MIDecember 18th, 2021 – The Marquette Redmen basketball team faced off against the TC West Titans this afternoon in their second game in two days.

1Q: The Titans were given a technical foul during warmups, so the game started with two successful free throws from Guard David Eberhard. Since it was a technical foul, the Redmen were given possession after the free throws and took advantage of the opportunity. An 8-0 start unfolded after a few steals from the Redmen. The Titans answered with 6 straight points after Marquette’s perfect start, but Eberhard scored a nice bucket to get the Redmen back on track. The remainder of the quarter seemed fair and fast paced, but it was Redmen foreign exchange student Yawnish Bishick that eventually gave Marquette the 1st quarter victory, scoring 9 points to give his team the 18-14 lead heading into the 2nd.

Marquette struggled to score points in the quarter as they had opportunities, but couldn’t connect. The fouls didn’t help at all either, as it seemed the Titans were getting every call in the 1st half. After only scoring 4 points, the Redmen were trailing 30-22 at halftime.
