Santa Visited the Residents at Marquette’s Mill Creek Senior Living Community Today

Marquette, MI – December 16, 2016 – Merry Christmas from Mill Creek Senior Living Community. Today was their Christmas party for residents from assisted living, the memory care unit, and independent living, along with staff and all their families in Marquette.
The Christmas party is the biggest event at Mill Creek for the year. About 250 people packed into the Mill Creek Commons area to celebrate Christmas together with their loved ones. Guests enjoyed cake, Christmas cookies, and hors d’ouevres from the large buffet table.
Throughout the year, Mill Creek residents participate in a “Caught Caring” program. Every month residents nominate a staff member and then the employee who is caught caring the most throughout the year wins a special “Caught Caring” award, which was given out during the party!
Everyone loved the photo booth and had a lot of fun posing with props for pictures. The band Playing Jacks played Christmas music for everyone and when Santa Claus came, he brought presents for all of the residents. Raffle tickets were given to everyone who walked in for a chance to win one of 10 raffle gifts!
Everyone waited for Santa to arrive and the big jolly elf didn’t disappoint. He came in to the commons with presents for every resident. What a great party for the residents and their families.
