
Marquette, MI – April 18, 2018 – Enjoy a good walk or run? If you’re looking for a good race to start off your running season, registrations for the 18th Annual YMCA Run/Walk are coming to a close, so sign up now! Join the race and support the YMCA of Marquette County Annual Campaign Program. The program works to make sure any community member who wants to participate at the YMCA can, whether they can afford to or not.
There are a number of different races throughout the morning on Saturday, April 28th, so take your pick:
- 8:30am – 1 mile youth run
- 9:00am – 10 Mile Run
- 9:15am – 10K Run, 5K Run, 5K Walk
Sign up fees for each race is $27 per person. Online registration for all 5 races ends on April 20, with last minute in person registrations running 4pm – 6pm on Friday, April 27th at the YMCA.
Race information:
The courses are set up to have everyone start and finish at the Marquette YMCA and follow the bike path along Lake Superior. There will be water and drink stations along the trail and locker rooms available at the Y. Enjoy post race refreshments including bottled water, bagels and fruit and awards for the 1 mile youth race, 5K, 10K and 10 mile will be presented at 11am.
The top 3 male and female runners from each adult race will receive a trophie with the the top three male and female finishers from each age group and race receiving ribbons as well. All youth participants will receive medals and anyone who registred for the race before 4/6 will get a t-shirt as well!
