Ryan Ranguette, Pat Kaski and Luke Ghiardi

Marquette, MI – 8/24/17 –  The Marquette County Youth Football Program is in full swing as the 2017 Fall Football season begins. Today we had Marquette County Youth Football Commissioner stop by to talk about the summer camps, events and the season. If you head to Econo Foods this weekend, you’ll get a chance to get your grocery bags filled by a player from the program. The program ha been around for 25 years producing great young men. We thank Pat Kaski for stopping in and talking about the program.

Marquette Senior High School Head Football Coach Dave L’Huillier stopped in to talk about his excitement for the upcoming football season and his team. The Redmen are looking to rebound after a tough season last year. The Redmen played all but one home game last year in the Superior Dome, this year they finally get to open up the season on their own field. Friday they will kick off the season in Traverse City against Traverse City St.Francis, a team that went 11-1 last year. Join Luke Ghiardi and Ryan Ranguette as they bring you all of the Marquette Senior High School Football Coverage.

The Detroit Tigers have been outscored 23-6 in two games against the New York Yankees as the Yanks cruised to a 10-2 victory on Wednesday night. Yankees catcher Gary Sanchez hit his third home run in two games in the first inning off of Jordan Zimmermann. The only bright spot in the game came in the ninth when Tigers shortstop Jose Iglesias connected on a fastball for his fifth home run of the season.
