Marquette Senior High School Head Hockey Coach Doug Garrow stopped by to bring us up to date on the Marquette Redmen Hockey team. Tryouts ended last week and their first scrimmage will be tomorrow November 9th against Houghton. The Redmen’s first regular season game will be November 21st against Houghton at home.

Former Toronto Blue Jays and Philadelphia Phillies pitcher Roy Halladay passed away yesterday suddenly at the age of 40. The cause of death was a plane crash just outside the Florida coast. Halladays had received his pilot license years back, he was flying an ICON A5, as small, single-engine aircraft that went down around noon on Tuesday. Halladay was a two-time CY Young winner and won 203 MLB games. Thoughts and prayers go out to the Halladay family.
