Marquette, MI – 6/14/17 – Jordan Zimmermann has put together three straight solid starts but the Tigers offense struggled in Zimmermann’s gem yesterday losing 2-1 to the Arizona Diamondbacks. Arizona scored two runs in the first inning and that was all they needed. Jordan Zimmermann went eight innings and allowed eight hits and gave up two runs. Arizona’s Taijuan Walker pitched five solid innings in his return from the DL and the Diamondbacks won their fourth straight game.

The Milwaukee Brewers defeated the St.Louis Cardinals on Wednesday night off the bat off Eric Thames who homered and drove in three runs in the victory. Brewers closer Cory Knebel came in with two outs in the top of the eighth after a one hour rain delay and collected his tenth save in thirteen try with four straight out.
