Long, is a former third-round pick, went 8-6 with a 2.52 ERA in 23 starts for the Angels Double A farm team.

The Tigers weren’t done dealing as General Manager Al Avila made it known that the Tigers were in the midst of a full rebuild. Fifteen minutes before the clock struck midnight the Tigers dealt longtime ace Justin Verlander to the Houston Astros for three top prospects in the Astros organization. Those players are #3 overall prospect Franklin Perez, #9 prospect Daz Cameron and #11 prospect Jake rogers. In 28 starts this season, Justin Verlander has gone 10-8 with a 3.82 ERA.
