Tigers Go Through Pitchers, The News Guy And Football

Marquette, MI – 8/17/17 – The Detroit Tigers have been on the struggle bus all season and it continued you last night when they lost to the Texas Rangers 12-6. The Tigers went through a season high eight pitchers in the contest. Starter Anibal Sanchez was done after 2 1/3 innings and gave up four runs. Rangers Elvis Andrus had the go-ahead home run in the fifth and added 4 RBI for Texas. The Tigers now look to Thursday for a much needed day off.

Great Lakes Radio News Director Walt Lindala came on our show this morning to talk about the Detroit Tigers and what they should do with manager Brad Ausmus. Walt has been with Great Lakes Radio for a very long time and is the host of the morning show on Sunny FM 101.9 Walt and Mike in the morning. Walt Lindala is very well known in the Marquette area for his news and his music.

The Detroit Lions and Green Bay Packers will both continue their pre-seasons this weekend. The Detroit Lions will take on the New York Jets at home on Saturday at 4:30 pm. The Green Bay Packers will also play on Saturday against the Washington Redskins in Washington, that game will begin at 7:30 pm.
