- Updated: September 16, 2016
Marquette, MI – The Minnesota Twins are in last place but the past two days, looked like a playoff team. The Twins earned a series split with a 5-1 win Thursday afternoon beating up Tigers Mike Pelfrey 1 2/3 innings. With the Tigers fighting for the last wild card spot, they have been badly let down by the pitching staff. The last three games the starting pitching has allowed 17 runs in on 9 1/3 inings. The Tigers begin a three game series against the Cleveland Indians tonight at 7:05 in Cleveland.
NFL week two was in full swing Thursday night with the New York Jets against the Buffalo Bills in in the NFL.
