
Marquette, MI – Just called up to play for the big club Jacoby Jones made his Detroit Tigers debut Tuesday night in a 8-4 victory over the Chicago White Sox. Jacoby had a double in the 6h inning to bring in Justin Upton and Jared Saltalamacchia. Daniel Norris pitched a solid game allowing three runs on six hits in just over five innings. The Tigers continue their series with the Chicago White Sox this afternoon at 1:10pm with Justin Verlander taking the mound in a pitchers duel with Chris Sale.
Marquette JV Football Coach Tim Bullock stopped by to bring us up to date on the team and schedule. The talk was about developing student athletes and their future with the football team. Tim also explained his experience in coaching and talked about the coaching staff.
It was a tough day yesterday for the Minnesota Vikings as starting quarterback Teddy Bridgewater dislocated his knee and tore his ACL. The Minnesota Viking will be without Teddy for the remainder or the 2016-2017 season. Backup Shuan Hill will get the starting nod for the beginning of the season.
